Choices That Determine Success In Your Life
?The choices that determine the success of your life are secret ones because they happen on the inside first. Later, the results can be seen by all.
“That?s the key to making choices in every area of our life.?
Hannah Whitall Smith says:
?All of us know, as a matter of practical experience that there is something within us, behind our emotions and behind our wishes, an independent self, that, after all, decides everything.
Many times when we need to make decisions, we approach them with so much care as though they were packages marked with ?Handle with Care?.
But when we need to make small personal choices, we scarcely realize that we just made a choice.
Do we ever ask ourselves, what are we really choosing? Where might this take me? Do I want to go in that direction? We should!
Our choices sometimes have long term consequences and ultimately can make a difference between success and failure.
So, your secret choices have power. You can learn to use them to determine your success in life and success. Please don?t hand it all over ?lick? or ?wishful thinking.? The responsibility and benefits are all yours. the choices you make in life
You can become more and more aware of your choices and their consequence; how to take charge of them and how to make the best choices for your life in every area of your life.
I think first of all we should make a clean slate with ourselves. We can do that by forgiving others that have hurt us in the past through words or through actions.
We also should forgive ourselves. Forgiveness is a mean thing in our life; it literally is a poison in our body that attacks the heart.
Here are 3 reasons why we must forgive:
1. We can?t be forgiven if we don?t forgive. We should walk in a continual forgiving of others. You can choose to forgive! How can I say this? Because we also choose NOT to forgive. The same way we can choose to forgive.
2. Faith won?t work in an unforgiving heart.
People who receive are quick to repent, quick to forgive and quick to believe.
I have heard somebody say to a larger crowd once that he knew of 2 families. One family did everything almost perfect; they came to church when the doors were open, they read their bible and did all the ?requested? things a Christian should do.
Then there was the other family; they were farmers and weren?t able to go to church on Sunday. Because of their farm they were missed sometimes in church.
Anyway; this family always seemed to be able to receive so much more from God than the 1st family.
When somebody was sick, they prayed and the sick person got healed. Why was that? The farmer?s family was quick to repent, quick to forgive and quick to believe. The 1st family were always holding on to grudges as long as possible.
3. You can?t go forward if you can?t let go.
When you look back, you can?t look forward and you don?t know where you are going. Simple! And it?s true!
The act of forgiveness includes the letting go. Lot turned into a pillar of salt because she looked back. We won?t our lives not to become a pillar of salt; we won?t fresh running water through our lives. Fresh resources where we can partake of.
