Can the “D List” Help With Search Engine Rankings
The “D List” is a group of blogs which have removed the “no-follow” tag from their comments. To learn more about it check out the Comments DoFollow post.
After removing the NoFollow from Home Business Ideas I have seen a good increase in contribution to the blog. Hasn’t been enough traffic to to be significant but I’m happy for any extra visitor I can get.
Now its time to check to see if links in blog comments can affect search engine rankings.
The Home Based Business Blog is currently ranked #7 on google for the Phrase “Home Business Ideas”. Using “SEO for Firefox” it looks like another 100 links should get us up to number I am keen to lift its rankings so am implementing the following
- Each night I will add between 4 and 6 comments on “D List” blogs. Each will have the anchor “Home Business Ideas”
- Will continue this until I have added about 100 links
- Once done results will be reviewed after 60 days to give time for the links to be found and counted by our friends at Google.
- Will report progress as it unfolds.
